Qatar Airways announced the inauguration of its Doha, Bogotá and Caracas service on November 4, adding a twice-weekly link between its Qatar hub and Colombia and Venezuela. The airline says it is using Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
Follow the route in the right direction
The airline’s November 4 launch announcement lists departures on Wednesdays and Sundays, with flight QR783 following this sequence:
- Doha (DOH) to Bogotá (BOG).
- Bogotá (BOG) to Caracas (CCS).
- Caracas (CCS) to Doha (DOH).
That triangular pattern matters when comparing itineraries. A journey from Doha to Caracas includes Bogotá in the published routing; the Caracas-to-Doha sector appears at the end of the circuit. Do not assume that the journey is identical in both directions.
Connections beyond the new gateways
Qatar Airways points to onward connections through Hamad International Airport. It also says its expanded LATAM partnership will place its code on LATAM Airlines Colombia flights linking Bogotá with Colombian domestic destinations.
Before booking or travelling
Check the complete itinerary, travel dates, stop information and operating carrier in the airline’s booking system. Confirm connection times and document requirements for your particular journey, especially if combining separate tickets. The published route sequence alone does not establish whether a standalone Bogotá–Caracas ticket is available.
The launch announcement describes the airline’s new service. For an individual departure or arrival, use the airline’s current flight-status information rather than treating a launch timetable as a live movement report.
