Avianca has restored a second daily service between Bogotá and Caracas, according to Aviacionline’s October 26 report. The additional frequency gives travelers another itinerary option on an existing route, rather than marking the airline’s first return to Caracas.
Which additional flights are reported?
The report lists AV142 departing Bogotá at 3:45 p.m. and reaching Caracas at 6:45 p.m. Its return, AV143, leaves Caracas at 8:10 p.m. and arrives in Bogotá at 9:05 p.m. These are local times. Check the schedule for your own travel date before booking.
Aviacionline attributes the announcement to the airline and quotes David Alemán, its sales director for Colombia and South America, describing more travel options and connections through Bogotá. This is a published company statement, not an interview conducted by Flyzeu.
This is an additional frequency, not a new route
Avianca’s March 9 announcement had already put a second daily Bogotá–Caracas flight on sale for a March 28 start. That earlier release is historical context; it does not independently confirm the October restoration.
The October report describes renewed twice-daily operation. It does not provide an exact first day for the restored frequency. Flyzeu has not independently tracked the individual flights or obtained the complete new airline release. Older overnight-flight times are not reproduced as a current confirmed schedule.
Before choosing a connection
Compare the arrival date and local time, connection interval and operating carrier for every segment. Check baggage and change conditions on the actual ticket. A route-frequency announcement does not establish that every onward connection is available, or confirm the condition of airport facilities.
