GOL and SKY are expanding connections between Brazil, Chile and Peru through a partnership reported on October 26. GOL’s own partner page confirms a single purchase, check-in and baggage check for combined travel. Travelers should still check the operating carrier and the conditions attached to each itinerary.
What has been announced?
Melhores Destinos reported October 26 that the airlines had agreed a bilateral codeshare, with SKY flights to and from Santiago sold through GOL and GOL flights offered through SKY. Its report says connections through Santiago provide access to 16 Chilean destinations and broaden options involving Peru.
GOL’s official SKY partnership page confirms the shared purchase, check-in and baggage arrangements. It does not give a dated launch timetable or a complete list of eligible flights. SKY’s agency portal also has an interline notice for GOL; that earlier terminology should not be treated as proof that every flight now carries the other airline’s code.
What does it change for a booking?
The useful distinction is between one combined itinerary and two separately purchased tickets. Before paying, check the carrier operating each segment, the fare’s baggage allowance, transfer airport and connection time. A partnership announcement does not make every combination available or remove the conditions shown during booking.
The reports describe additional sales and connections, not a newly inaugurated nonstop route. Flyzeu has not independently tested every itinerary in either airline’s booking system.
Smiles earning is still a future benefit
The October 26 report says customers buying SKY tickets through GOL will be able to earn Smiles miles soon. It gives no start date, booking-class table or earning rate. Do not assume a ticket earns miles until the applicable rules confirm eligibility.
What the airlines’ executives said
Correio Braziliense’s October 26 account attributes statements to GOL commercial vice-president Mateus Pongeluppi and SKY routes, schedules and partnerships director Pedro Navarro. They described broader Latin American connectivity and stronger access to Brazil. These are published company statements, not interviews conducted by Flyzeu.

Checked October 26, 2026. Agreement details are attributed to the dated reports, with shared booking/check-in/baggage arrangements corroborated on GOL’s website. No fare, loyalty launch date or universal flight availability is promised.
