Perth Airport is preparing to change road access to Terminal 1 when its P1 transport hub opens. Its November 2 announcement says testing over the coming weeks will determine the opening date; the new arrangement is not yet presented as operational.
Where pick-ups and drop-offs will move
All Terminal 1 passenger pick-ups and drop-offs will move to P1’s Ground Level, reached from Airport Drive. Taxis and rideshare services will use the new hub.
For Terminal 2, the existing Express pick-up and drop-off area will remain available. Terminal 2 taxi and rideshare pick-ups will move to P1’s Ground Level.
Plan for the transition
P1 has six levels and more than 1,700 parking bays, including accessible parking on every level. Perth Airport advises drivers to review its maps and videos, follow signs and allow extra time while learning the layout.
Check the airport’s Terminal 1 access information before travelling. The November 2 release does not give a confirmed opening day, so these future arrangements should not replace current on-site directions.
