Iberia has capped one-way fares between Madrid and Andalusia at €99 in Economy and €149 in Business through November 8, 2026, as it responds to demand following the railway accident in Urda, Toledo.

The October 28 airline announcement also offers flexibility for affected passengers. Check your itinerary’s eligibility and fare conditions before changing a ticket.

Which flights does the fare cap cover?

The notice covers Iberia’s Madrid–Andalusia flights. The ceilings apply per direction, through Sunday, November 8. Seat availability must still be checked.

Compare the final itinerary, travel date and what the quoted fare includes. A price ceiling and an available seat are separate questions; check availability before committing to accommodation or another transport connection.

Extra capacity announced for October 28

Iberia announced 520 additional October 28 seats: 362 for Madrid–Málaga and 158 for Madrid–Seville, including A321 upgauges. Treat this as a dated capacity announcement.

Additional October 28 departures were announced for Madrid–Málaga at 20:00 and Málaga–Madrid at 22:00, local time. Their actual operation has not been verified here. Consult the current timetable for a later journey.

Iberia gives 900 111 500 for affected booking changes. Confirm the options for your ticket through its official channels.
