Jetstar has launched nonstop flights between Perth and Christchurch, according to Perth Airport’s October 27, 2026 announcement. The seasonal route adds a direct link between Western Australia and New Zealand’s South Island, with three services a week.

What the airports have confirmed

Perth Airport’s launch update identifies Perth-based Airbus A321LR aircraft for the service. Its chief commercial and aviation officer, Kate Holsgrove, says the connection provides another gateway for travellers in both directions.

Christchurch Airport’s current route schedule also lists Jetstar arrivals from, and departures to, Perth three times weekly from October 27. The airport cautions that schedules can change from day to day.

The two airport sources establish the announced route launch and frequency. They do not establish that every individual departure will operate as booked. Flyzeu has not independently observed the inaugural flight.

Check your travel dates, not an old launch offer

The route was announced earlier in 2026. Introductory fares promoted alongside that earlier announcement should not be treated as prices still available after launch.

For a trip on this seasonal service, check the actual outbound and return dates in Jetstar’s booking calendar. Do not assume that three weekly flights means daily availability or that a service running in one part of the season is offered on every later date.

  • Confirm the airports are Perth (PER) and Christchurch (CHC), including any onward flights on a separate ticket.
  • Compare the total fare after selecting the baggage, seat and other options you need.
  • Allow time for the next part of your journey and recheck airline messages and flight status before departure.

Perth Airport describes the flights as seasonal. This report does not promise a particular last operating date or current promotional fare; use the itinerary offered for your selected dates.
