Caribbean Airlines is adding another 1,000 seats to its domestic schedule for Tobago Carnival, bringing the announced extra capacity to 8,000 seats, according to TTT News’s October 26 report citing an airline statement.
What the additional seats mean
The latest allocation comes on top of 7,000 seats announced previously. It is an increase in seats across the programme, not 1,000 extra flights or a promise that every preferred departure remains available.
Aviacionline’s October 26 report says the additional inventory goes on sale from October 27. The domestic airbridge connects Piarco in Trinidad with A.N.R. Robinson International Airport in Tobago.
TTT also reported that Tobago tourism secretary Zorisha Hackett had requested more capacity for visitors and their return journeys. Her request for further flights should be distinguished from the seats the airline has confirmed.
Check both directions before making plans
The main Carnival period runs from October 30 to November 1, according to the linked reporting. If travelling for the festival, check the outbound and return flights together before committing to accommodation or event tickets.
- Use the airline’s current booking information for your exact dates; an announced capacity increase is not a live seat count.
- Compare the complete fare, baggage allowance and change conditions on the ticket you intend to buy.
- Leave an appropriate margin if connecting with another flight. A domestic seat announcement does not guarantee a through-ticket or protected connection.
