Naples International Airport (NAP) is scheduled to close from November 1 to 30, 2026 for planned runway rehabilitation. Travellers should check the airport on their replacement itinerary: flydubai says its daily Dubai service will use Salerno (QSR), while airport operator GESAC has announced a special bus connection from Naples city.
This is a planning guide ahead of the works, bringing together the airport’s closure information, flydubai’s existing advisory and GESAC’s October 27 transport announcement. It is not a report of an unexpected shutdown today.
Flydubai’s Dubai flights will use Salerno
In its July 22 operational advisory, flydubai says it will operate its daily service from Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB) to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport (QSR) instead of Naples from November 1 through November 30.
The airline directs customers to its current timetable for flight schedules. Check both the outbound and return booking, including the arrival airport and any arrangements made through a travel agent. The flydubai notice does not establish the replacement arrangements for every airline serving Naples.
Naples city to Salerno airport: announced €12 bus
GESAC’s October 27 announcement, also published on Salerno airport’s website, describes a special Busitalia Campania connection between Naples Piazza Garibaldi and Salerno airport during the November closure.
- Eight departures a day in each direction are announced, with timings planned around flights.
- The quoted fare is €12 each way for the Naples–Salerno airport link.
- The operator says tickets can be bought on board using electronic payment.
GESAC also says services between Salerno airport and Salerno railway station have been increased. The €12 price above should not be assumed to apply to that separate connection.
Before changing your ground transport
Confirm your airline’s actual itinerary first, then consult Busitalia Campania’s current timetable for the appropriate departure and stop. Allow time for the road transfer, check your airline’s check-in deadline and keep a separate onward connection in mind. A planned link timed around flights is not a guarantee of a particular connection or seat.
The airport’s runway-works notice describes a scheduled November closure. The notices reviewed here do not establish a completed reopening; travellers flying after the works should still check current airport and airline information.
