Delta Asia-Pacific Wi-Fi is now available for SkyMiles members, the airline said in an October 20, 2026 announcement. The change brings free connectivity to its remaining major international coverage region, including some of its longest journeys.

This advances the plan in Delta’s October 9 announcement, which we covered in our Pacific Wi-Fi rollout report. Delta now describes the service as available across its international network, rather than awaiting regional activation. It has not supplied a flight-by-flight activation history.

Delta Asia-Pacific Wi-Fi: who gets free access?

Delta says SkyMiles members in every cabin can use the service, including streaming on their own devices. Membership is free. The airline reports nearly 1,300 equipped aircraft, exceeding 95% of its fleet, and expects the remaining Delta Connection aircraft and Boeing 717 rollout to bring full fleet connectivity by early 2027.

Coverage still has exceptions

Delta’s current passenger guidance lists no service over Chinese or Moroccan airspace and possible interruptions over Alaska. In Hong Kong and South Korea, local rules prevent use below 10,000 feet. A wider network therefore does not guarantee uninterrupted internet throughout a journey.

Some regional aircraft and 717s still have paid service during the transition. Check each connecting leg: Delta identifies free service with a badge in booking results and information in pre-flight emails.

Before boarding and connecting

  • Check that your SkyMiles login works while you are on the ground.
  • After the boarding doors close, enable airplane mode, switch Wi-Fi on and choose the DeltaWiFi.com network. Open that address in your browser if the portal does not appear.
  • Sign in before enabling a VPN. Streaming is supported, but voice and video calls are prohibited.
  • Keep essential documents and work available offline in case service drops.

Availability checked October 20, 2026. These are airline-reported capabilities, not a Flyzeu connection-speed test.
