Yemen’s Houthi group claimed on October 27, 2026, that it targeted Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia with a drone. The claim was reported by The Express Tribune, citing agency reporting and a statement from Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree.

What has been reported?

The report attributes the Abha claim to Saree’s post on X. It also describes separate claims involving military aircraft at Najran Airport and King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait.

Those are attributed claims, rather than independent confirmation of successful strikes. King Khalid Air Base should not be confused with King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

What remains unconfirmed?

The linked report said there was no immediate Saudi official response to the Houthi claims. Flyzeu has not independently verified damage, casualties or an operational suspension at Abha from this alleged attack.

The report separately cited Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki saying air defences intercepted two ballistic missiles directed towards Riyadh. That statement does not independently confirm what happened at Abha.

What passengers should check

Confirm the status of your particular flight with the operating airline before changing travel plans. A reported attack claim is not confirmation that a flight is cancelled, that an airport is closed, or that operations have resumed.

Use airline notifications and official operational notices for decisions about check-in, rebooking or connections. This article is a report about an attributed claim, not a live flight-status service.
