SWISS says its first Zurich–Bengaluru flight departed on October 27, 2026, opening a five-times-weekly nonstop link between Switzerland and southern India. Flight LX140 left Zurich at 13:34 local time, according to the airline’s launch-day statement.
The inaugural-departure confirmation is separate from the published timetable below. Flyzeu has not independently observed the flight or confirmed its arrival in Bengaluru.
Published Zurich–Bengaluru flight timetable
The airline’s winter timetable page lists these local departure and arrival times. Recheck the dated itinerary when booking, as schedules can change.
| Flight | Departure days | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| LX140: Zurich–Bengaluru | Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday | 13:20 | 02:55 the following day |
| LX141: Bengaluru–Zurich | Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday | 04:50 | 10:50 the same day |
Why the opening dates differ by direction
SWISS lists October 27 for the Zurich launch and October 28 for departures from Bengaluru. The overnight eastbound journey explains the different calendar dates. A Tuesday departure from Zurich arrives on Wednesday in India under this timetable.
That distinction matters for accommodation and onward travel. Check the arrival date, the airport code BLR and the time allowed for any separate connection. An early-morning departure from Bengaluru may also affect which hotel night and airport transfer you need.
What SWISS has confirmed
In its October 27 statement, the airline confirms the first departure and five weekly services. Chief executive Jens Fehlinger describes the route as an investment in its long-haul network and Switzerland’s international connections.
Bengaluru joins Delhi and Mumbai as the airline’s third Indian destination. The original May 19 announcement set out the route plan; the October 27 departure statement confirms the launch rather than a new route announcement.
For onward travel through Zurich, check the connection offered for your chosen date and ticket. The existence of the new route does not guarantee a particular fare, seat, cabin product or connection.
