Singapore Airlines has detailed a new KrisWorld entertainment system and a phased introduction of Starlink connectivity from 2027. The important qualification for passengers: the announcement is a rollout plan, not confirmation that the upgrades are available on every flight today.
In its October 22 announcement, the airline says the new KrisWorld will feature upgraded screens and audio, a redesigned interface and personalization tools. Availability differs by aircraft and cabin.
Entertainment and Wi-Fi follow different fleet plans
New KrisWorld equipment is planned for 41 retrofitted A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft entering service progressively from 2027, as well as upcoming Boeing 777-9s.
Starlink is planned progressively from early 2027 on A380s and A350-900 long-haul and ULR aircraft. Plans for other fleets remain unconfirmed. The entertainment programme and connectivity programme should therefore not be treated as identical aircraft lists.
Bluetooth and screen upgrades are not universal
The airline’s feature table assigns Bluetooth audio pairing to Business Class on retrofitted long-haul A350s, First and Business on the ULR version, and all cabins on the 777-9. Some displays will use OLED technology. Passengers should not assume that every A350 Economy seat will receive every advertised feature.
How to check before choosing a flight
Look at the exact flight, cabin and aircraft information in your booking, then ask the airline whether the advertised feature is expected on that departure. An aircraft family name alone is not proof that a retrofit has been completed, and aircraft substitutions can change the experience.
If connectivity matters for work or a connection, keep documents and essential entertainment available offline. A future equipment plan is not a guarantee of uninterrupted service on an individual journey.
Entertainment upgrades are also separate from ticket and partnership conditions. Flyzeu’s Air India–Singapore Airlines booking guide covers that distinct arrangement; it does not establish which aircraft has the new system.
