Passengers flying with SATA Air Açores or Azores Airlines on November 3 face the final scheduled day of the existing SATA Handling strike notice, according to the airline’s passenger contingency advisory.

The notice covers SINTAC and SITAVA ground-handling staff. It lists a 16:00–19:00 stoppage window for October 28 through November 3 and warns of possible delays and operational adjustments.

Check rebooking eligibility

The passenger advisory says affected customers may change bookings without penalties or fare differences if their new flights fall outside the strike period. It lists October 18 through November 10 as the permitted travel range.

Confirm your booking’s eligibility with the airline before making a change, and check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport.

Baggage and airport preparation

SATA recommends online check-in, observing normal airport reporting times and, where practical, traveling with cabin baggage only within the usual allowance.

The notice describes possible disruption. It does not identify specific cancelled flights.
