Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport flight board listed weather delays on three Summit Air departures to Lukla when checked on November 2 at 3:12 p.m. Nepal time. Other flights on the board were marked departed, so these entries do not establish an airport-wide shutdown.
Which flights were listed
The airport’s November 2 board marked Summit Air SMA501D, SMA303D and SMA403D as delayed because of weather. It separately showed completed departures by other operators, including services to Lukla.
These are the airport’s displayed statuses at the time of checking, not a forecast or an airline confirmation of what will happen next. Travellers should check their specific flight with the operating airline before setting out, especially when connecting to a mountain-airport service.
Sunday’s disruption is a separate snapshot
The Kathmandu Post reported closures at Bharatpur, Surkhet and Bhairahawa on Sunday morning, November 1. That dated report cannot establish whether those airports are closed on Monday. The selected Kathmandu departures likewise do not prove that every airport or route has returned to normal.
