Airlink plans to begin flights between Johannesburg Lanseria (HLA) and Harare (HRE) from November 15, 2026. Travellers comparing Johannesburg options should check the airport code carefully: this service uses Lanseria, rather than O.R. Tambo (JNB).
This is a planning guide to the airline’s previously announced route. Airlink’s August 3 announcement gives the November 15 start date, and its October 19 summer schedule update repeats the November service and its timetable.
Lanseria–Harare days and local flight times
| Flight | Route | Days | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4Z090 | Lanseria–Harare | Monday, Thursday, Saturday | 07:00 | 08:40 |
| 4Z091 | Harare–Lanseria | Wednesday, Friday, Sunday | 17:45 | 19:25 |
All times are local. The listed operating days differ by direction, so the table should not be read as offering a same-day return on each departure date. November 15 falls on a Sunday; under the published pattern, the first listed Lanseria departure would be Monday, November 16. Confirm the actual date and availability in the airline’s booking system before paying for separate travel arrangements.
Aircraft and airport choice
Airlink lists an Embraer E190 for the route. Its original announcement describes 98 seats, comprising six in Business Class and 92 in Economy. The airline presents Lanseria as an additional option alongside its existing O.R. Tambo services, particularly for travellers in western Gauteng and North West Province.
Compare your ground journey with the airport named on the ticket. If connecting to a separate flight, establish which Johannesburg airport it uses and allow for any transfer. No particular aircraft registration, inaugural arrival or completed first flight has been verified for this future service.
