An Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome diverted to Évreux military air base in Normandy, France, on November 5 following a bomb threat.

The French prime minister’s office said the aircraft landed safely. All 151 passengers and six crew were safe, and military bomb-disposal specialists were examining the aircraft, Associated Press reported.

Security inspection ongoing

This is an initial report. The evidence reviewed for this update does not establish the inspection’s outcome, who made the threat, or an onward departure time. A bomb alert does not by itself establish that an explosive device was aboard.

Reuters also reported the diversion, attributing it to the French prime minister’s office. Flyzeu has not independently obtained that office’s original statement.

What passengers should check

Follow the instructions of the airline and authorities handling this flight. For onward arrangements, Aer Lingus’s official disruption guidance directs passengers to check the email or SMS sent to the lead booker and the airline’s live flight status. Travellers booked through an agent or partner airline should contact that provider.

Those are the airline’s general instructions, not confirmation of a replacement flight or a specific assistance package for this diversion.
