Jet2’s first aircraft with a dedicated business-class cabin has carried its first charter customers, the airline confirmed in an October 28, 2026 announcement. The Boeing 737-800NG has 76 seats and is based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
A dedicated aircraft for group charters
Jet2’s dated launch update says the aircraft is available for further charter bookings during the winter season. Its cabin replaces the usual 189-seat layout with 76 business-class seats and a minimum of 43 inches of legroom throughout. Catering can be tailored to the charter customer’s requirements.
The airline identifies sports, music, entertainment and specialist groups among the customers seeking the product. It has not supplied the date or itinerary of the first charter in the release.
How the offer fits Jet2’s charter business
The premium aircraft is part of Jet2’s dedicated charter operation. The company’s charter information page distinguishes full-aircraft hire, allocations on scheduled services and wider group-travel programmes. Customers should specify the aircraft and cabin required when requesting a proposal.
Jet2 says its team can arrange airport support, group or private check-in and catering options according to the programme. These are arrangements to confirm for the particular charter, rather than details to assume from a standard flight booking.
For a group enquiry, confirm the route, operating dates, total price, baggage needs, airport arrangements and the cabin promised in the quotation. The October 28 release does not publish a fare or a fixed route timetable for the VIP aircraft.
