Frontier says it has completed the early return of 13 Airbus A320neo aircraft, according to the fleet section of its October 28 results release. Five were returned during the third quarter and the remaining aircraft in October.

A321neo replacements remain a delivery plan

The airline expects ten directly leased A321neos from AerCap: five in the fourth quarter of 2026 and five in the first quarter of 2027. Those are expected delivery dates, rather than confirmation that all ten aircraft have arrived.

The return total and the replacement programme describe different aircraft counts. They should not be read as a one-for-one exchange or as a cancellation notice for passengers.

What this update confirms

This is an update on the previously disclosed early-return programme. It separates the completed returns from the replacement deliveries still expected in the airline’s plan; it is not an announcement of a new Airbus order.
