Etihad Airways lists a daily Airbus A380 rotation between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok in its October 26, 2026 announcement. The published timetable assigns the superjumbo to flights EY402 and EY403.
For passengers choosing the A380, the flight number matters: a route announcement is not a substitute for checking the aircraft shown on a specific booking.
Which Bangkok flights use the A380?
Etihad’s October 26 announcement lists the following daily rotation. All times are local to the departure or arrival city.
| Flight | Route | Departs | Arrives |
|---|---|---|---|
| EY402 | Abu Dhabi–Bangkok | 21:20 | 06:35 the following day |
| EY403 | Bangkok–Abu Dhabi | 08:35 | 12:20 the same day |
The service connects Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport with Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. When arranging a hotel or airport pickup for EY402, use the Bangkok arrival date, which is one calendar day after departure from Abu Dhabi.
Cabin choice remains important
The A380 brings Etihad’s Residence suite and First Apartments to the Bangkok route, alongside Business and Economy cabins. The advertised premium products belong to their respective cabin categories; an Economy booking does not include access to a suite simply because the flight uses the A380.
Before paying for a particular onboard experience, compare the dated itinerary, aircraft and cabin offered together. Recheck the booking before departure if aircraft type is an important part of the purchase.
What the launch does and does not establish
The October 26 announcement describes the start of A380 service; it does not mean every Etihad flight serving Bangkok is an A380. The timetable above reflects the airline announcement reviewed; it is not a live flight-status board.
