Jet2 says flight LS1310 from Venice temporarily left the runway after landing at Birmingham Airport on Sunday, October 25, 2026, then returned to the paved surface and taxied to its stand. Passengers disembarked normally, according to the airline’s statement to the Mirror, reproduced in Milo Boyd’s report updated October 26.

The incident happened during Storm Boelo. Jet2 attributed the deviation to exceptional weather conditions. That is the operator’s explanation; the material verified for this report does not establish an independent technical finding on the cause.

What is confirmed, and what remains unclear?

The airline’s statement identifies the flight and route, the temporary runway departure, the return to the runway and normal disembarkation. It does not give a passenger count, an inspection result or a detailed explanation of the aircraft’s movement.

Claims about aircraft damage, an exact runway-closure duration or a final investigative conclusion should therefore be treated separately from that confirmed sequence. Flyzeu has not verified those details and is not presenting them as established facts.

What passengers should check now

In its October 26 travel advisory, Jet2 continued to warn of possible weather disruption. It advised customers to check in as scheduled and keep their contact details current for messages by SMS, email and its app.

Check your own flight number and date rather than assuming that a report about Sunday’s landing describes today’s departure. Keep booking notifications available and follow the airline’s instructions if your service changes. The statement that LS1310 reached its stand does not establish the status of another flight.

For the separate October 27 Scottish regional-airline weather policy, see our Loganair advisory guide. Its change arrangements should not be assumed to apply to a Jet2 booking.
