Brazil’s civil aviation regulator ANAC has imposed a precautionary restriction on landings at Formosa public aerodrome in Goiás. The order preserves exceptions for medical emergencies and cash-transport operations, provided they are coordinated in advance with the aerodrome operator.
Which Formosa is affected?
ANAC’s Portaria 20.235/SIA identifies the Brazilian aerodrome as SWFR, with national identifier GO0014. It was signed on October 21, 2026, and took effect upon publication in Brazil’s official gazette on October 27. This concerns Formosa in Goiás, Brazil, not Formosa airport in Argentina.
No fixed end date
The measure is temporary but has no specified expiry. The order says it remains until the operator requests its withdrawal and demonstrates compliance with the conditions in the technical opinion supporting the decision.
The published restriction specifically concerns landings. It should not be described as a ban on every aircraft movement or as evidence that scheduled airline services have been cancelled.

Operators planning to use SWFR should consult current official aeronautical notices and confirm arrangements with the aerodrome operator. The two stated exceptions require advance coordination; this report is not operational clearance.
