Alaska and Hawaiian menus are changing this month, with Hawaiian expanding international Business Class meal selection next week, according to the airlines’ October 15 announcement. Eligible Suites passengers will have up to five entrées to choose from before flying.
Hawaiian menus change October 21; Alaska adds dishes
Hawaiian’s refreshed international menu by Dell Valdez begins October 21, with options including ahi and blackened tofu. Keaka Lee’s dishes also arrive that day on selected domestic First Class flights departing Hawaiʻi.
Alaska says Brady Ishiwata Williams’ new selections are already available to pre-order: black cod for Seattle–Tokyo Narita and chicken for Seattle–Seoul Incheon. Both airlines are also refreshing their international Business Class wine selections this fall.
Check your flight before choosing
The airlines give a meal-selection window of two weeks to 20 hours before departure through their mobile app. Hawaiian’s earlier dining guidance also explains advance selection through its website. Check the options offered for your own booking; menus depend on route and cabin.
These near-term service changes are separate from the new premium cabins and lounges Flyzeu previously covered, whose rollouts begin in 2028. Travelers comparing flights should distinguish a menu change from a new seat or aircraft interior.
