A Delta travel waiver covers specified Gulf Coast airports for October 9–10, 2026. The airline’s current Hurricane Isaias advisory lists a change deadline and a new departure deadline of October 13.
Checked October 9, 2026. This is a time-sensitive airline-policy briefing, not a live weather forecast or a list of canceled flights.
Delta travel waiver: the listed airports
The advisory names Birmingham (BHM), Dothan (DHN), Panama City (ECP), Gulfport/Biloxi (GPT), Columbus, Mississippi (GTR), Montgomery (MGM), Mobile (MOB), Pensacola (PNS) and Destin–Fort Walton Beach (VPS).
Check the rebooking conditions
The waiver applies to tickets issued on or before October 7, 2026. Changing your origin or destination may result in a fare difference, according to Delta’s current terms.
Delta’s terms say fare differences are waived for rebooked travel through October 13 in the same cabin, subject to the stated booking-class conditions. A fare difference can apply outside the flexible window. Review the live advisory and its full terms for your own ticket.
A quick itinerary checklist
- Compare your airport codes and travel dates with the advisory.
- Open your reservation in Delta’s app or My Trips.
- Review the proposed journey, cabin and any price difference before accepting a change.
- Save the new confirmation if you rebook, and check whether connected plans also need attention.
A waiver is not proof that every flight at a listed airport is canceled. Check your individual flight status separately. This article also does not establish whether a particular ticket qualifies or promise a cash refund.
