Lufthansa Technik reported a 17% rise in adjusted EBIT to €515 million for the first nine months of 2026, as revenue increased 14% to €6.8 billion. Its November 3 results announcement identifies engine maintenance and component services not tied to flight hours as the main growth drivers.
Nine-month figures, not a single quarter
The adjusted EBIT margin reached 7.6%, compared with 7.4% a year earlier. Customers outside the Lufthansa Group accounted for 79% of revenue, up from 74%. These figures cover January through September; they should not be read as third-quarter-only results.
Capacity expansion remains a future plan
Investment rose 15% to €167 million. The company said construction of its second aircraft-overhaul facility in the Philippines began in August at Clark International Airport. It is scheduled to open in 2028, with Emirates expected as its first customer.
Lufthansa Technik also highlighted a 15-year agreement with Flair Airlines for engine and digital services supporting its LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet.
Outlook and constraints
The company continues to expect full-year earnings significantly above 2025. That is its outlook, while material shortages, supply-chain delays and geopolitical uncertainty remain challenges. Maintenance-provider growth does not itself announce additional passenger flights.
