Volaris’ Flex Fare lets passengers choose two benefits when booking: one covering baggage or seating, and another covering changes, protection or extra checked weight. The airline’s current product page, checked on October 30, sets out several conditions worth reviewing before payment.

Choose one benefit from each group

  • Baggage or seating: a carry-on bag, a 15 kg checked bag, or standard seat selection.
  • Travel benefit: unlimited date or time changes, travel protection, or an extra 10 kg of checked baggage.

Volaris says the selected combination does not change the fare’s price. Availability must be checked for the flight being booked.

The restrictions that matter

The extra 10 kg requires a checked bag; combining it with the 15 kg option gives 25 kg. Passengers choosing a standard seat must select it during booking to retain that benefit.

Selections apply to every passenger and segment in the reservation and cannot be changed after confirmation. The unlimited-changes option can still involve a fare difference and restrictions. Flex is generally non-refundable, according to the airline.

Compare the complete booking

Before choosing, compare the final price with the baggage, seating and flexibility each traveller needs. A group sharing one reservation should agree on the combination first. Keep a copy of the selected benefits and booking terms.
