Emirates SkyCargo has launched AI Tech, a cargo service for server racks, semiconductors, graphics processors and other equipment used in artificial intelligence infrastructure. The Dubai-based carrier announced the product on November 3, 2026.
What the service adds
The airline’s announcement describes priority loading, dedicated handling procedures and shipment monitoring through its command centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Customers receive airport-to-airport milestone updates and coordination during transport. Specialist project-cargo support is available for oversized and heavy shipments.
This is a service for transporting the physical equipment behind AI systems. The release does not describe AI software taking over aircraft operations or a new scheduled cargo route.
Check the equipment and station requirements
Emirates says AI Tech is available across its global network for most AI-related cargo, including chips and server racks. Highly specialised manufacturing equipment requires an advance station-capability assessment. Shippers should therefore confirm that the stations and handling arrangements suit the particular equipment before arranging transport.
The published release does not provide tariffs, a guaranteed transit time or a blanket acceptance commitment for every type of machinery. Priority handling should not be read as an unconditional delivery guarantee.
Capacity plans remain a future milestone
Emirates says it expects to operate 23 dedicated freighters by March 2027 and also offers cargo capacity on widebody passenger aircraft. That is a future fleet plan, rather than a statement that 23 freighters are already operating today.
