Lufthansa Group reported adjusted operating profit of €1.4 billion for the third quarter of 2026, up 6% from a year earlier, in its November 3 results announcement.

Revenue rose 9% to €12.2 billion. Fuel costs increased by €543 million, but the group said revenue growth and cost discipline more than offset that increase.

Cargo and maintenance support earnings

Lufthansa Cargo recorded €162 million in adjusted operating profit, against €49 million a year earlier. Lufthansa Technik’s result rose 54% to €200 million.

Group net income was €1.3 billion. That is a separate measure from the adjusted operating profit.

Full-year outlook

The group forecasts full-year adjusted operating profit of €1.7 billion to €2 billion and a €9.3 billion fuel bill. These are company expectations, with the final result still dependent on fuel costs, demand and fourth-quarter cargo performance.
